On November 22, 2014, Adrián Machado Fournier, Class of 2017, represented Robinson School in the 2014 AGMUS Institute of Mathematics Research Symposium at the Sheraton San Juan Hotel. For four months, he attended the Science Honor Program of the Universidad Metropolitana, specifically in the field of Bio-Mathematics, which concluded with the symposium where Adrián presented his project: Modeling Endangered Species: Their Changes Throughout time. This program provides pre-college students the opportunity to experience scientific research and “to offer young motivated high school researchers the opportunity to learn and to practice their communication skills in a formal professional scientific meeting.” A second objective is to give high school students of Puerto Rico a forum to present the findings and results of their research projects to teachers, research mentors, family members, and the university community at large. We are very proud of you Adrián! Congratulations!
