This past Friday we celebrated Astronomy Night which was called “An Evening With the Stars”, an activity for our Middle School Astronomy class students. We had a participation of 14 our of 16 students from the 7th and 8th grades! The Astronomy night was an all-night activity in our beautiful campus. The main objective of the activity was to have a first-hand experience of locating and observing the constellations and planets that were visible that night. They expected to see Venus, Mars, and Jupiter. The students set up their tents in the inner courtyard and had an exciting time with a whole slew of planned activities which included: telescope viewing of the planets, stars, constellations, or the moon; Spaghetti star-making contest; baking star or moon cookies; a bonfire, a movie and an awesome treasure hunt! Thank you to all the teachers, parents, and volunteers that helped make this wonderful evening with the stars an unforgettable night!
