Mario Font Martin, Robinson alumnus and student at the University of Puerto Rico – Río Piedras Campus received an outstanding recognition by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-PR). Mario studies Human Resources Management and Operations & Supply Chain Management at the College of Business Administration at UPR.
This past Thursday, September 15, 2016 Font was awarded the Nancy Valentín Scholarship of the SHRM-PR Chapter after being evaluated in over 100 criteria which include leadership, community service, and academic excellence. After a thorough process of selection among many submissions and interviews, Mario Font was selected among other students and recognized in front of hundreds of Human Resources professionals at the 43rd Annual SHRM-PR Conference titled “Courageous,” which took place at El Conquistador Hotel in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
The very next day, Mario was also appointed to the Board of Directors as the National Student Chapters Representative by SHRM-PR Chapter President, Jennifer Zapata Nazario. As representative, Mario Font will represent student chapters island-wide and voice the chapters’ ideas to the SHRM-PR Board of Directors. Congratulations, Mario!
