Greetings from Alumni Relations Director!
I hope you’re having a great summer! Here in the Alumni Relations office, we’ve been brainstorming ways to reach out to you and make it easier for you to engage with us. This includes the new alumni newsletter you are currently reading. We hope you enjoy this dynamic and interactive format, which makes it easier for you to keep up with Robinson news by clicking on live links that take you to the news stories most interesting to you.
Effectively reaching as many alumni possible is still something of a challenge because our alumni database sorely needs updated contact information for many of you. For this reason, I’m inviting you to please forward and share our newsletter with any alumni you know who haven’t heard from us. Even better, please encourage them to send me their contact information. Robinson School celebrates its 115th Anniversary next year (2017), and we want to invite as many alumni to return for our All Class Alumni Weekend at the end of June. We are planning a year-long celebration for you and the rest of the Robinson community. As part of this celebration we are also trying to revitalize our Alumni Association. Whether you were class president or class clown, outgoing or shy, I want to hear from you! Please contact us and tell your Robinson friends to do the same! I am also asking for any anecdotes or candid photos you might have from your time as a student here. Share your ideas for making the 115th alumni reunion the best one yet.
As a Robinson alumna, I have a vested interest in strengthening our alumni community. It’s been wonderful returning to Robinson after so many years. Every morning I’m reminded of my irrepressible youthful optimism; the personal and academic experiences Robinson offered that shaped me into the person I am today. Finally, I’m reminded how much more I want to do! I highly recommend this journey to all our alumni. Last July, I began as Robinson’s Development & Alumni Relations Director. As I look back over the past year, I’m proud of our successes and determined to continue strengthening our alumni into a personal and professional support network. Thanks for your engagement and please encourage your Robinson friends to get involved as well. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you in 2017, if not sooner!
