The Hawk Award is a recognition Robinson elementary students receive for applying the IB learner profile attitudes in their lives.
On this edition, five students were awarded an IB Buck for embodying the IB learner profile. Isabel Morales and Emma Morales saved two small kittens that were born in the school chapel during Hurricane Maria. The girls nursed them to health and kept them until they found them a home. Another IB Buck recipient was Nolan Poinson who was in a race during PE and he left his place in a race to help a student who had fallen down. He helped him up and stood by him until they finished the race together. Last but not least, Isabela Cruz and Gia Garratón recieved this award because they are learning sign language during patio time. They both wish to be able serve as a resource by learning to communicate with the hearing impaired.
After the awards, students preformed a choreography to create awareness about helping those in need during the aftermath of Hurricane Maria’s passing.
Congratulations to our students for living life the IB way! #TheRobinsonDifference
