It is with great pride that we announce that our very own Hawk’s Math Club achieved the Silver Level Status. What’s the noise all about?
The National Math Club is a national program that provides students with the opportunity to engage in Math in a way that is non-competitive, fun and different from “textbook math”. Each school year the club participates by completing 5 math games. The Silver Level Status – where our Robinson Middle School Math Club currently is – recognizes and rewards those clubs with a high level of participation. If students complete a creative and collaborative project, they can achieve the Gold Level Status, which is what the Robinson Math Club is currently working on.
Robinson is one of the only two schools in Puerto Rico that have reached the Silver Level Status. This recognition is of great honor for us, and it is part of an ongoing effort to position Robinson as one of the top schools in Puerto Rico. Our International Baccalaureate strives to offer a rigorous curriculum that is recognized internationally and by top-tier universities for its quality. The students who are currently in our Hawk’s Math Club are: Ana V. Aguilar, Gabriel Humbert, Felix Vega, Rene Lavergne, Ian Cruz, Sara Marrero, Julio Wiley, and German Acevedo. Kudos to all of them and their math teacher Bradly Rivera!
