Dear Robinson Community,
As we look ahead at our return to the school routine, I am writing to share an update on our progress and plans. Our commitment to students and families is to navigate this challenging time with as minimal an impact to the education of our students as possible. Robinson has plans in place to recapture the missed school days so as not to affect the overall timeline of the 2017-2018 school year. Tuesday, October 3 to Friday, October 6, the campus will reopen for elementary, middle and upper school students following a special schedule in order to ensure the safety of our community and conserve resources.
7:00 AM – Campus opens for students, faculty and staff.
7:50 AM – Homeroom
8:00 AM – Classes begin
1:15 PM – Dismissal for all students
2:30 PM – Campus closes
We will reevaluate the schedule as the week progresses and notify the community as soon as we are able to return to our normal operating schedule. Students in all three divisions will have two breaks during the morning. We encourage students to bring snacks and water bottles from home. The cafeteria will be open for limited cold food service.
Members of our community, along with the hard-working maintenance team, have the campus and classrooms clean and prepared. The campus will also be completely fumigated for mosquitoes and bugs prior to our return. At this present moment, Robinson School has running water on campus. A HUGE THANK YOU to all those who provided assistance in getting the campus ready and running.

We understand that the current state of the island community presents many challenges to our families. Our attendance and tardy policy will remain highly flexible during the coming week as we resume school operations. Students who miss school for any reason will receive support from their teachers in order to make up any missed assignments or assessments. Each division will establish deadlines for the submission of missed work that affords students the opportunity to successfully complete their assignment in a structured and manageable way. The success and growth of our students as they continue their careers at Robinson remain our highest priority.
Please see your Division Head with any specific questions, concern or needs. In this time of uncertainty, you can count on the Robinson Family for any support you, your child, or your family might require.
