Renowned Puerto Rican opera singer, Antonio Barasorda, directed the two-week camp for students (15 years and older) who aspire to sing opera, zarzuela, Broadway musicals, and other musical genres.
During the camp, participants worked individually with professors from the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico. Distinguished artists and professors Zoraida López, Ilca López, José Ramón Torres and Antonio Barasorda provided students with intensive technical and interpretive training. Students also worked on repertoire pieces with pianists Pedro Juan Jimenéz, Pablo Boissen and Ernesto Busigó.
All participants performed at the final concert that took place on Saturday, July 15 in the Anthony Jr. Soto Hall at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico.
