With the help of Debbie Hildebrand and their teachers, our second graders created Robinson’s first butterfly garden. Butterfly gardens aim at creating an environment that attracts butterflies, as well as certain moths, providing the conditions for them to lay eggs. Butterflies feed on the nectar of flowers and many different types of flowers may be planted to attract them.
This is just one of our many initiatives to get our students involved with gardening and important environmental issues. Stay tuned for more environmental projects which will continue growing during this school year!
