Yesterday, our Upper School Art Program celebrated the opening of the Art Exhibition “Race, Color and Culture: Puerto Rico’s Afro-descendants’ Legacy”. Throughout the school year, our Upper School art teacher, Arlene Ruiz, has worked on the African heritage theme. The material gathered from all their work created a unique art exhibit filled with different mediums – sculptures, drawings, poetry, turban wrapping, and a “bomba” performance is just part of what is available in this exhibit. Our African culture is represented magically. We invite our Robinson family to come and join us to experience first-hand Puerto Rican African roots through the eyes of our students.
