On Friday, October 3rd, the Elementary Library had the Reading Extravaganza – Autumn Edition. Parents and kids started arriving at 3:00 p.m. to a library full of new books, fall stories and lots of cushions everywhere for them to read in a cozy and comfy atmosphere. It was a delight to see everyone’s enthusiasm as they read and enjoyed the recommended books and exchanged their favorites from one side to the other while they bonded and laughed. Another busy station was the craft table where kids and their parents showed their creativity in many different ways. Many students waited for Mrs. Gloria Hicks who came at 4:00 p.m. to sell and sign her book Un Evento Musical. And then during story time, everyone listened attentively to Loren Long’s new story, Otis and the Scarecrow. Afterwards, students received new books and reading posters as gifts for coming to this wonderful activity. We’re already looking forward to the next Reading Extravaganza because #RobinsonLovesReading!
