During a special assembly on April 11, 2018, our students in grades 7th through 12th presented to our Faculty and staff their interpretation of our revised school mission.
As part of the re-accreditation process by the Middle States Association, Robinson School is required to revise its foundational documents – namely, the school mission, the beliefs and a newly generated profile of graduates. The goal of this process is to make sure these documents reflect our continuous growth and evolution.
After an exhaustive reflection process, our revised mission, beliefs and profile of graduates were approved earlier this year. Our middle and upper high school students were asked to study and interpret the school mission in their own words, and they did not disappoint us. We are very proud of how every group demonstrated their ownership of Robinson School culture by adapting the school mission, interpreting it in their own way. Check out some of the photos for samples of their work! Our elementary school students are currently participating in two weeks of activities with their homeroom teachers that will help our youngest students understand the key elements of the Robinson mission, and why the mission is so important to our school.
Our foundational documents can be accessed in the “About Us” section of our school website.
The road to re-accreditation continues. Our re-accreditation visit is scheduled to take place in December 2018.
Robinson Parents – Please be on the lookout in the coming weeks for a parent survey related to the Middle States Standards. Your input is invaluable in our quest for accreditation and for the growth of our school. We encourage you to please take the time to assist us with your responses. More info to come!
