At Robinson School, we offer your preschool child a safe and nurturing learning experience, where children are intellectually engaged in a happy and stimulating environment. Our Preschool Program is part of our International Baccalaureate Program, a renowed accreditation that creates global citizens and leaders.
Exposure to academically solid programming and services promote positive social interaction, self-expression, emotional development, curiosity, and the independence necessary for lifelong love of learning. Bright Beginnings implements best practices derived from a host of early childhood developmental theories and curriculum models. In doing so, we create an exciting classroom environment that combines foundational skills in reading, writing and arithmetic – with hands-on learning and constructive play to enhance social, emotional, physical, and creative skills.
Specifically, we seek to:
• Help children build the skills necessary for future success
• Foster a love of learning
• Facilitate the transition from preschool to elementary school
Involvement and support from home is critical to student success. Whether you are new to our community or a current member, you play an important role in the vitality of our school. We look forward to your support and participation in our programs; together we touch the future.
The Bright Beginnings Preschool Program provides an introduction to the foundations of learning. These learning experiences serve as the first bridge between home and school. They channel children’s natural enthusiasm and curiosity by setting the stage for future learning. Our goal is to create an environment that helps children develop their self-concept as competent learners, adjust to new environments, establish appropriate behavior, and connect with the outside world while immersed in engaging academic experiences.
Our program focuses on the education of the whole child. This initiative begins at the age of three, taking into consideration the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of the student while meeting each child at his level. Our exceptional teachers work with the children to assist them in moving from one developmental stage to the next, while instilling a sense of self that will help each child find his place in the world.
The preschool faculty is uniquely qualified to prepare student-centered, highly engaging activities. In Bright Beginnings, we use centers as part of the instructional program. Here children work with concrete materials to construct their own meaning and draw their own conclusions about the world around them.
