The Robinson School PTO has worked hard this year to cultivate Robinson’s culture of giving. You probably participated in our many fundraising activities this year. For that, we thank you! Let us tell you more about PTO plans to support our school…
You may know that giving is central to Robinson’s philosophy. This year, the PTO has been actively collaborating with our Development and Communications office to increase the Robinson Scholarship Fund, which supports talented students from our community who otherwise wouldn’t have the means to receive a Robinson education. In December, we held our first Christmas auction, and we are happy to report that we made $8,000 for the Scholarship Fund!
The PTO has decided to further extend its philanthropic work by creating the PTO Fund for Clubs and Teams. This fund will support Robinson clubs and teams in their efforts to represent our school locally and internationally. To receive PTO support, clubs and teams must first demonstrate their interest and commitment by writing proposals and holding fundraisers.
As part of this latest initiative, we are also proposing new extracurricular classes that will prepare students to participate in a global culture of giving. These classes will explore philanthropic resources and non-profit organizations, as well as grant writing. We hope to give our students the skills and experience to put their ideas into action and help them achieve their future goals.
This is a great time to be at Robinson! We hope you are as excited as we are, and thank you for your continued support!
