Last week we celebrated an extraordinary Spanish Week. During the entire week, our faculty and student body engaged in a variety of activities commemorating our culture and mother language. As we had mentioned in earlier posts, our Spanish Week was dedicated to Georgina Lázaro. You can read all about it on our website news.
Other activities that are worth mentioning are the 1st grade Spanish Spelling (Deletreo en Español), the upper school poetry recital, a talk given by Arlene Carballo, children’s literature writer and author of “El pelo maravilloso de la surrupita“, and our Seniors’ tie contest dedicated to Alejandro Tapia y Rivera. We want to thank everyone that was part of this week’s excellent coordination and a big thank you to all of our wonderful guests!
¡Que viva la lengua española!
