Past, Present and Future Celebrating 115 Years of Robinson’s Legacy!
Robinson’s 115th Anniversary gave us the chance to welcome you home! YOU are Robinson’s legacy. YOU are the past, present, and future of Robinson School. After getting to know you over the phone and email over the previous months, I was delighted to finally meet everyone in person.I feel like I found a brand-new set of old friends! I hope you feel the same.
Thank you for the opportunity to welcome you back. Thank you for the words of encouragement from those who weren’t able to attend. We raised a glass in your honor, and we’ll see you next time!
The following recap is a small token of our thanks. To check out albums of each event, click on the images below.
Senior Prom Through the Decades
Robinson celebrated a magical evening at La Concha to commemorate senior proms through the decades. Thank you to Mr. Carl Kortum, Robinson School Board of Trustees President, who joined us in the celebration and everyone who made this such a night to remember!

Thank you, Danny Mejía ’15, for creating a special medley of hits for the evening and sharing your talent.
A very special thanks to Dr. Johnny Rullán, Robinson Class of 1973 alumnus and former PR Secretary of Health. Your inspirational words reminded us all of Robinson’s important role in Puerto Rico’s past, present, and future. His words will motivate us for years to come. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more on the initiatives launched by his remarks!

Baccalaureate Chapel Service
Robinson School celebrated our 115th Anniversary Baccalaureate Service in our historic Chapel, which holds so many memories for Robinson alumni. Our Chaplain, Rosangélica Acevedo-Delgado, prepared a service that integrated alumni and renewed our bonds with each other and Robinson School. The service also blessed our entire community as we prepared to bid our alma mater a fond farewell after celebrating its 115th Anniversary. We were honored to host Bishop Hector Felix Ortiz Vidal of the United Methodist Church of Puerto Rico, who delivered the sermon and reminded us of our enduring roots.
After the Chapel service, alumni gathered in Robinson’s gym for brunch. They rediscovered Robinson’s past by looking through old yearbooks and memorabilia. They became better acquainted with Robinson’s present through videos of our current students’ exciting projects that reflect our new International Baccalaureate curriculum. Alumni also caught a glimpse of future plans for our beloved school with an exhibit of architectural drawings for renovations.
Breaking bread together is one of the most powerful ways to honor the bonds between us. Thank you to Quality Food Services for sponsoring this opportunity to do so!
Happy 70th Birthday to the Class of 1965!
The Class of ’65 gathered on Thursday, before the official start of the weekend to celebrate their “70th Birthday,” rather than wait for their next big reunion in 2020. Thank you to Penny McCandless Roth and Marilyn Hitt for coordinating this event, which was held in Robinson’s recently renovated cafeteria. Special thanks to Dwight Santiago and his band, as well, for preparing a set list with class favorites from the era. They provided the tunes and the Class of ’65 provided the moves. Check out the photo and video below. Now, that’s a heartfelt celebration! Thanks, Class of ’65, for showing us how it’s done!

Thank You, 115th Anniversary Volunteers!
Robinson’s 115th Anniversary Celebration would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of our volunteers, which include alumni, Robinson staff and current students.
Thank you to Beckie Ramos ’71, Lila Moore ’71, and Sara Ronkin Mullis ’71 for coming every Tuesday and Thursday in the months leading up to this weekend! A special congratulation to Sara for becoming Robinson’s newest Board of Trustees member!
Thank you to our Robinson student volunteers from the National Honors Society and Student Government Association for welcoming our alumni home! You did an excellent job of guiding our alumni on the “treasure-map” tour of Robinson’s new facilities and making sure they found their Robinson memorabilia at the Hawk Boutique.
Thank you, Robinson alumni, for coming home again! I’m excited by the possibilities of our revitalized bonds. I know that we can do great things for each other, Robinson School, and the education of Puerto Rico’s children during these difficult times. Together, there is nothing we can’t do if we put our hearts and minds to it! I look forward to getting to know you more and working with each other in the future!
Please, never hesitate to reach out to me with your ideas and feedback! You are all valued members of the Robinson family. Now and forever!
