Puerto Rico Composta is an amazing organization that works to prepare teachers into ‘compost maniacs’. Their mission is to get schools composting and gardening. Robinson School is hosting their activities and we just had them over for their 2nd Teacher Encounter. The first reunion they held was theory-based. They explained all the details regarding how to create a successful compost area at schools. This last meeting was hands-on. Teachers made compost projects to present in their classrooms, created compost tea and planted inside plastic containers.
