Students and Experts Visit Jayuya to Bring Relief and Share Knowledge
This past weekend Robinson’s Heart of Service shined again!
Our students brought to Jayuya more supplies, 10 doctors from Colegio de Médicos Cirujanos and a key expert in disaster relief from California. Once again, supplies from the Robinson Collection Center (water, clothes, food, first-aid kits, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, and more) were distributed throughout the community and doctors offered medical services for those in need of it. Aside from this, the disaster relief expert offered the community an orientation about how to harness energy from zinc sheets to charge cell phones or other low-voltage devices. He also explained the different processes of purifying water. Students played with the kids of the community while their parents took advantage of these valuable resources. We are very proud of our students’ initiatives and we thank the Robinson Family for continuously supporting our Collection Center efforts.
This will not be the last time Jayuya hears from us!
