A Celebration of Language, Culture, and Reading…
One of the joys of this month has been watching our Preschool and Elementary students dive into the Maratón de Lectura Puertorriqueña, a cherished celebration of Puerto Rican literature and a beautiful reminder of the power of reading to connect us to culture, language, and one another. Throughout the event, our youngest learners explored stories by Puerto Rican authors, discovered new vocabulary, and engaged in meaningful conversations about identity, tradition, and imagination. More than just a reading event, the maratón fostered pride in linguistic and cultural roots while nurturing a lifelong love for literature.
¡Un Espacio Narrativo!
As part of the Maratón Puertorriqueño de Lectura celebrations, our preschool students enjoyed a special visit from Espacio Narrativo. During this engaging event, the children sang songs, danced, and participated in an interactive read-aloud. Espacio Narrativo is dedicated to fostering a love of reading through fun and creative activities, and our students truly had a wonderful time.
